Biofeedback and Psychophysiological therapy deserve a world wise recognition.
I aim to encourage integration between associations at their international locations and the American association as this integration may advance the discipline in several ways.
International cooperation can assist with the future implementation of psychophysiological measures becoming an integral element of therapy in general and psychotherapy in particular.
Initiation of on-line supervision and conferences that allow for and encourage active involvement of all participants, and the publication of case studies describing biofeedback assisted therapy, can help promote recognition and acknowledgement of biofeedback as a valid therapeutic constituent.
In the near future I would like to focus on programs that offer at-risk groups specialized training in psychophysiological regulation. For instance programs for soldiers at risk of developing PTSD that may be offered during basic training.
I would also like the opportunity to serve on the Board so that I may have a chance to increase the membership quota of the American association, as I am proud to have achieved in Israel during my years as President and board member of the Israeli Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback.
This feat I managed because my long standing belief in the merit and applicability of biofeedback consistently and continuously fuels my motivation to be active in this field.
